User reviews on HuaHinExpats.Co help the expat community make better decisions. We want reviews to be honest, useful, and fair, to both readers and the businesses being reviewed.
Who Can Submit a Review
Anyone can submit a review for a business listed in our directory. We ask for your name (or a display name) and email address. Email addresses are not published and are used only for verification and abuse prevention.
What Makes a Good Review
The most useful reviews:
- Describe a genuine personal experience
- Are specific, what did you use, when, and what was the outcome?
- Are fair, acknowledge both good and bad aspects where relevant
- Are relevant to other expats, context like “as a long-term resident” or “for a one-off medical appointment” is helpful
What Is Not Allowed
We will not publish, and will remove, reviews that:
- Are fake or incentivised reviews written by the business owner, their employees, friends, or competitors, or submitted in exchange for payment or reward
- Are defamatory false statements of fact presented as true that could damage a business’s reputation
- Are abusive or harassing personal attacks on individual staff members, discriminatory language, or threatening content
- Contain private information personal details about individuals that they have not made public
- Are spam off-topic content, links to other websites, or promotional material
- Are unrelated to a genuine experience reviews about a business the reviewer has never actually used
Moderation
All submitted reviews go through a moderation queue before publication. We review them against the criteria above. We aim to moderate reviews within 3 business days.
We reserve the right to:
- Approve, reject, or remove any review at our sole discretion
- Edit reviews for formatting, spelling, or to remove prohibited content, without changing the reviewer’s meaning or rating
- Remove reviews that were previously approved if we later determine they violate this policy
No Guarantee of Accuracy
Published reviews reflect the views of individual contributors. HuaHinExpats.Co does not verify the accuracy of review content. We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on user-submitted reviews. Always conduct your own due diligence when choosing a service provider.
Business Responses
Businesses that have claimed their listing can respond to reviews. Responses must be professional and factual. We moderate business responses on the same basis as user reviews.
Requesting Review Removal
If you are a business owner and believe a review violates this policy. You can flag it for our review team via our contact form. Please explain specifically why you believe the review violates our policy, we cannot remove reviews simply because they are negative.
