Hua Hin hosts a rich calendar of events throughout the year, blending Thai cultural celebrations with international sports and expat-friendly social gatherings.

Hua Hin Jazz Festival

Held annually in June, the Hua Hin Jazz Festival transforms the beachfront into a free outdoor concert venue. Local and international jazz acts perform across multiple stages over two evenings. It’s one of the most beloved events on the Hua Hin calendar and draws visitors from Bangkok and beyond.

Hua Hin Vintage Car Parade

Classic and vintage car enthusiasts gather each December for a procession along Hua Hin’s main streets. The event is family-friendly and free to watch along the parade route.

Songkran Water Festival

Thailand’s New Year celebration (mid-April) is observed across Hua Hin with water fights, street parties, and traditional merit-making ceremonies. Expect the town centre to be very lively, and very wet, for three days.

Loy Krathong

In November (date varies by lunar calendar), Thais float decorated krathong (lotus-shaped offerings) on water to honour the goddess of rivers. The Hua Hin beachfront and local ponds light up beautifully for this evening festival.

King’s Birthday / National Day Celebrations

Major public holidays, including the King’s Birthday (28 July) and Constitution Day, are marked with illuminations and public ceremonies throughout the town.

Hua Hin Triathlon

Hua Hin Night Market

The Cicada Market (weekends) and several walking street markets operate regularly around Hua Hin. These are great places to pick up local crafts, street food, and clothing. Hours and locations can shift seasonally, check locally for current operation.
