Hua Hin has a solid selection of bars and cafes that cater well to the expat community. The bar scene is more low-key than Pattaya or Patong but has genuine character, a mix of long-running expat pubs, sports bars, beach bars, and a growing specialty coffee scene.

Expat Bars

Several long-running expat bars are dotted around the town centre and Soi Bintabat area. These are comfortable, relaxed places to meet people, watch sport, and settle into the expat social scene. Many have regular quiz nights, pool competitions, and other social events.

Sports Bars

Sports bars in Hua Hin show a broad range of international sport, Premier League, Six Nations rugby, tennis, golf, and more. Most have multiple screens and open early (or stay open late) for time-zone-challenging events.

Beach Bars

Several establishments along the beachfront serve drinks with an ocean view. A sunset beer on the beach is one of Hua Hin’s simple pleasures.

Coffee Culture

Thai coffee culture has grown enormously in recent years, and Hua Hin has a good selection of independent cafes alongside international chains. Many expats use a local cafe as their remote work base. High-quality espresso, cold brew, and Thai iced coffee are all widely available.
