Shopping in Hua Hin covers the full range, local wet markets for fresh produce, large supermarkets for imported goods, and a growing number of shopping centres. You will not find the retail scale of Bangkok, but you can source most everyday items without difficulty.

Supermarkets

  • Tops Supermarket: Good selection of imported and local products. Well-organised and popular with expats.
  • Big C: Large hypermarket-style store. Comprehensive range at competitive prices.
  • Makro: Wholesale/bulk buying. Good for catering-sized quantities.
  • Villa Market: Premium import-focused supermarket. Best for specific Western products.

See our Shopping & Supermarkets directory for locations and details.

Local Markets

For fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and seafood, local wet markets (talat) are the best and cheapest option. Prices are low. Quality is high, and the experience is authentically Thai. Most neighbourhoods have a small local market operating in the early morning.

Cicada Market

The Cicada Market is a weekend arts and crafts market with a mix of design goods, clothing, food, and live music. More of an experience than a shopping destination, but worth visiting when you first arrive.

Online Shopping

Lazada and Shopee are the dominant online shopping platforms in Thailand. Delivery is fast (1 to 3 days to Hua Hin) and the selection is enormous. Most major international brands have a presence. For specialist items, some expats use freight forwarding services to ship from abroad.
